Steven served as a bi-vocational youth pastor for 10 years in South Texas while teaching math to middle school students before moving to Missouri. He began serving as the Pastor of Students at Frederick in November 2008. He believes that student ministry should support parents in their role as the primary disciplers of their children and he loves to see teenagers take ownership of their faith. He and his wife, Kristin, are the primary disciplers of three daughters, Lindsay, Taylor, and Elisabeth.

Steven loves yard work (really), good coffee, sports, music, editing video, XBOX Live, Bugs Bunny, and cheese. He’s huge fan of the Lakers, college basketball, and is known to watch an occasional Cowboys game.

His favorite Scripture is 1 Peter 1:3-9 and he is most challenged by Hebrews 11-12.
